Senses working overtime #67

1 !Taylor's surprised face!

I'm a fan but she's STILL a celebrity who, at heart, works the room superbly, as this compilation of surprised faces makes clear.

2 Taylor as the soap opera villain
Great piece of writing this, from medium.com, on Miss Swift as the pantomine villain.

3 Jerry and John

How could you not be a fan of both these guys? Seinfeld and Oliver go at it in Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

4 Rogue One

Ooweee baby!!!

5 Be here now

I like many of the ideas in this post - about being in the moment - mindfulness.

Overtime:
Why?
Finally this week - just a lovely piece on finding your why.

Oliver's Army
Here's an example of Oliver's brilliance:

Senses working overtime #66

1 By Jupiter!

The Juno orbiter has sent back this photo. From Jupiter!!!! Not a computerised, this might be what Jupiter looks like, image. No. A photo! Of Jupiter!!!

Wow! You can read more about it here.

2 Anticipation
Carly Simon knew about this a long time ago but this is still fun to read about - the anticipation before an event...

3 Rogue One
I haven't included too much Star Wars stuff of late. Sorry. This update on Rogue One and teaser should ease the pain.

4 Cancel 2016

I'm a glass half full kind of guy (as you know) but even I'm getting beat down a little by the first half of 2016. Nice article by Kimberly Harrington sums up the feelings well.

5 The benefits of writing
I feel good writing daily. Here's why.

Overtime
Bill Murray's Ghostbuster III will he? won't he? is a fabulous read.

Senses working overtime #65

1 Barack - the night guy

Like so many on planet Earth, I am an Obama fan. Unlike Barack, I have always carved out my alone time in the morning. Whenever it's carved out, it's important. Getting a peak into his routines is pretty cool.

2 Proxemics explained
Great little video from Vox on personal space bubbles as studied by Edward T. Hall.

3 OMG

Bobcat on a cactus! How did that happen (thanks to JW for the link).

4 Arsenal in Aussie
Adam (pictured - thanks Ashleigh) sent me this - pretty cool - Aussie tour by the greatest team the world has ever seen!

5 Bill Murray
An overview of Bill's appeal is always good fun.

Overtime
Great video of Lennon doing Imagine live.

Senses working overtime #64

1 And a hero comes along

Joseph Campbell had it right - the hero has a thousand faces. Nice medium.com update on what makes a hero.

2 John Oliver
Has become widely known and admired for his own satirical TV show. Here he is explaining English football to David Letterman. Hilarious!

3 Seth Godin
Yes, more groovy messages from Seth. This one is about the signals we send. Reminded me of the
Jerry moment.

4 Hollywood and movie sequels
They are mostly bad bad bad and here's why.

5 Legend of Tarzan

I grew up with Tarzan on the TV, in one of my favourite comics and on the big screen. I'm a fan. Fingers crossed for this latest version!

Overtime

Speaking of heroes - here's another one fer yer - I loved reading the Robert E. Howard Conan books when I was younger. Looks like a reboot is happening with Conan as well.

Same fingers are crossed coz Conan has been poorly treated at the movies (and I'm an Arnie fan!).

Senses working overtime #63

1 Movie posters
Do they all look the same

2 Body tells
Nice piece this on some of the ways our body lets us down without saying a word. I am very much a WYSIWYG person and an open book!

3 The other side of fear

Another short read: this one is in the inspirational reading category on not letting pain and fear stop you from pursuing everything you want in life.

4 Seth Godin

I'm enjoying my daily dose of wisdom from Seth's blog. This edition was titled Shields up and may surprise you!

5 Matt Muir's Imperica
Thanks to a brilliant Olgilvy Blaze Radio thingcast ('cept what's with the annoying piddly music guys??) from James Whatley I found this from Matt Muir. Holy sugar honey iced tea!! It's pretty cool!!

Overtime
Ha ha Boris! What's that sound? Oh yeah - chickens flapping their way homeward.

Britain and Westeros are taking on too many similarities for comfort of late. Great read on the treacherous side of UK politics.
