Senses working overtime #427

1 How I felt this week

2 Reading: Lionel Messi

How Lionel deals with anxiety. Excellent article.

3 Reading: Marianne Faithfull - memories, dreams and reflections

I finished Loud in New Plymouth and needed something to get me through until I got home, so I picked this up from the little secondhand bookshop by the library. Pretty sure I read it years ago but it's a dim recollection and I'm enjoying her prose style all over again.

4 Listening: Joan Baez - Farewell Angelina

We stopped off at the secondhand shop in Turakina on the way home from New Plymouth and I found a copy of this in good condition for $10.

2a Reading: Rock Roadie by James 'Tappy' Wright

2b Reading: Loud by Tana Douglas

A yin yang approach - a male and female version of being a roadie. Loud is much better written and much more interesting btw.

3 Watching: Tour de France Unchained (Netflix)

4 Listening: Jimi Hendrix Los Angeles Forum April 26 1969

After a four star review in Mojo, I bought a vinyl copy from JB hi Fi last week - it deserves to be played LOUD. It's a monster!

5 Reading/Listening: Patti Smith remembering Jim Morrison
