Senses working overtime #218

Holiday
The blogs have been on a sabbatical for a week now. Once holidays hit my routines suffer and other priorities take over. Have a look at Wozza's Place next week for pictures of the work done around Maple Grove.

Our stuff arrived from the UK so it's been a hectic time all around.

That included my UK vinyl, books and CDs. Wahoo. Hard to know what to play first!!

Anyway, here's a run down on the first week holiday sensual assault.

First up: the texture of wood as the chicken coop was repaired with help from Jade and William and other wood type tasks were undertaken. We used found timber from around the property and recycled it in a variety of ways.

Very rewarding.

Spring is coming

Winter in Nu Zild is very mild compared tot he UK.  Especially where we live in the Hawke's Bay province. So no heavy UK style coats after a frosty start to many days.

Jack Irish

We've been binging on this Aussie version of Minder style anti-heroics on Netflix. Guy Pearce is a force and a great supporting cast of real characters is a nice feature.

Life sentence

Owning a property with a horse, a dog, and chickens mean a series of you-know-what-smells is a daily joy.

Banana loaf

I'm a big fan. Always have been. This was a feature of the last few days with Jade/William/Asher's visit, along with the customary roast chicken dinner (yes, we all got the irony).

Overtime: Brother Of Mine - Anderson et al

This was a go to track after I read an article in Prog magazine.

And that was my week that was!

Senses working overtime #44

I know I'm odd.

Here are five pieces of evidence for the defence:

1 I prefer winter!
Apparently that makes me smarter! Who knew?

2 I need books, lots of...books!
I have always been a reader but my appetite has increased in the last year. I am not alone!

3 Mega composites

Love these odd mega composites from Stephen Wilkes

4 Winter blues
I'm missing London winter weather. Even more so after reading this!

5 Star Wars

These damn fine fan art posters are rilly cool! I've included them before but they just keep coming! Thanks odd fan people for keeping it unreal.

Overtime: My old mate Greg (I've known him forever and he is old, although I'm older) included a really great song on his site this week - Argent's Hold Your Head Up. Indeed they can! But odd? Well it's a prog classic but it's actually a great pop song from the former Zombie.

Until next week...caio for naio.
