Senses working overtime #550

1 Locked in this week!

N.b. Those are not my fingers (ha!)

2 Watching: Doc (TV on demand)

It has an unusual premise for a medical drama and the ops aren't too gory.

3 Still reading: Our Mutual Friend

Re 'locked in' - I'm now up to page 757. It's divided into four books and I'm now onto the fourth. Hopefully the Jenny Wren mystery eventually resolves itself.

4 Listening: Stephen Stills - Manassas

5 Listening: WTWMC - Tragically unhip

Our guilty pleasure playlist is now complete with eye rollers and awesome tunes (sometimes both at the same time).

Senses working overtime #549

1 Feeling this week:

2 Watched: TV on Demand shows

We've been catching up with Graham Norton Show guests (Bruce Springsteen, Taylor Swift and others), Elsbeth and now Doc.

3 Listening: Tay Tay's new one - The Life of a Showgirl

I like this one much more than the previous one (The Tortured Artists Department) which I found too long and not as seminal as Midnights.

4 Reading: Our Mutual Friend - Charles Dickens.

Closing in on halfway - up to page 382 (out of 1,000)

5 Listening: WTWMC - Tragically unhip

There are now 90 songs to elicit eye roll responses - guaranteed.

Overtime:  Selena Gomez

Senses working overtime #548

1 Cruisey work week

2 Watched: Hunted season 7 (I think) TV on Demand

3 Listened to: Ringo Starr albums

Up to Starr in the Goo Goo G'Joob countdown. Try this live album - Live at Soundstage - on for size.

4 Still reading: Our Mutual Friend and Never (Rick Astley)

5 Listening: WTWMC - Tragically unhip

Overtime: Paulo Coelho

Senses working overtime #546

1 The feeling this week

2 Reading: Our Mutual Friend - Charles Dickens

I'm picking up the pace a bit more this week - page 150 (of nearly 1,000)

3 Listening: Tunnel of Love - Bruce Springsteen

It's been a Boss-a-thon this weekend as I'm up to Springsteen in my collection countdown for Goo Goo G'Joob. He packs a lot of soul and emotion into a popular song - exhibit A - Walk Like a Man.

4 Reading: Mojo magazine #380

5 Listening: WTWMC - Tragically unhip playlist

Our best yet?

Senses working overtime #545

1 This week:

2 Reading: Unreel: A Life in Review - Diana Wichtel

Clever idea - writing a personal memoir and combining that with her television viewing history.  Great reviews too!

3 Listening: WTWMC - Tragically unhip

The amigos treat Spotify listeners to a playlist of their guilty pleasures.

4 Watching: You Don't Know Me

5 Visiting: Bluesleep in from Melbourne

Great to have Adam at Maple Grove for a few days while he visits to meet Ivy. You can listen to his latest Bluesleep album - Ghost Chatter, here.

Overtime: Anatole France

To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
